Hours: Full-time, term time only
We are seeking an experienced Design & Technology Technician to join a supportive secondary school in Stevenage on a fixed-term basis. This role is available immediately and will run until 13th March 2026.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to the Design & Technology department.

Prepare, maintain, and set up equipment, tools, and materials for practical lessons.

Ensure a safe learning environment in workshops, following all school policies and statutory requirements.

Support teachers in delivering engaging practical lessons.

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs of equipment.
Requirements:

A recognised Health & Safety qualification.

Previous experience working as a DT Technician (or in a similar workshop/educational environment).

Strong practical skills and the ability to support the use of tools and machinery safely.

Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
