This Infant School is situated in Hitchin, an historic market town with good facilities and good road and rail links. They currently have 220 children on roll in 6 classes and a Nursery. The school is well maintained and well resourced, with supportive parents and Governors. They have a close link with the neighbouring junior school. Their most recent Ofsted judged the school as a good school with some outstanding features.
About the role
Class Education are looking to appoint an exemplary, Level 3 qualified (or in the process of qualifying) Teaching Assistant, who will ideally have experience of working within an Infant school setting. This is for a September 2026 start or sooner.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and enthusiastic team, working alongside the class teacher. Candidates should have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 curriculum. The position will be working within the Early Years team, but all TA's work flexibly and can be moved to different year groups as required.
The post consists of working alongside the class teacher, for 32.5 hours per week, split equally over 5 school days, term-time only. The salary is pro-rata and includes working inset days. Pay grade is dependent on qualifications and experience.
