The Maths Teacher will deliver high-quality mathematics teaching that supports pupilsβ progress, confidence, and enjoyment of the subject. This role is ideal for a committed Maths Teacher seeking long-term stability and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Duties as Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across the secondary age range
- Teach Maths in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
- Provide clear feedback to support pupil progress and attainment
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider staff team
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
Ideal Maths Teacher:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
- Organised, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
- Willingness to commit to a temporary role with the opportunity to become permanent
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
