Seeking a Cook looking for their next challenge! You will be joining the team at a reputable care home, preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals for approximately 40 residents while ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.

Offering competitive hourly rates of £17-£18 per hour based on skill and experience. The main hours worked are 08:30-13:30, with flexible shifts throughout the week.

We welcome motivated cooks who are:

  • Able to work within a team and independently
  • Able to work confidently in busy or unfamiliar kitchens
  • Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
  • Strong communicators who work well under pressure
  • Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Have cooking experience, preferably in a care, healthcare, or catering environment
  • Have a caring and attentive approach to residents' needs

Your role may include but not be limited to:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary needs
  • Follow food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
  • Monitor food stock and assist with ordering supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
  • Cater for special diets, allergies, and cultural preferences
  • Ensure meals are served on time and to a high standard
  • Step into short-notice temporary shifts with confidence
  • Meet uniform standards such as safety shoes, cleaned and ironed uniform
