Class 1 Personnel is recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV CE) Drivers on behalf of one of the UK's largest and most respected logistics distribution and supply chain companies based in Bromley W. Wickham, CR0 4BP. This role involves transporting mail and parcels safely and efficiently between airports, warehouses, distribution centres, and, where required, residential locations. What You'll Need

  • Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
  • Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum of 5 years' verifiable employment history (HMRC/P45 documentation may be required)
  • Clean UK criminal record (or a Police Clearance Certificate if applicable)
  • Proof of Right to Work in the UK and National Insurance number
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
  • A strong work ethic with excellent reliability and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class 1 vehicles between UK depots and distribution centres
  • Transport mail and parcels in line with company procedures
  • Load and unload vehicles when required
  • Follow scheduled trunking routes and delivery plans
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with transport teams and supervisors
  • Adhere to all road safety, health and safety, and compliance regulations

Pay Rates

  • Standard Rate: £19.63 per hour
  • Night Premium (7:00 PM - 8:00 AM): £22.43 per hour
  • Saturday Rate: £20.85 per hour
  • Sunday Rate: £21.90 per hour
  • Sleep-Out Allowance: £18.50 per night

Shift Pattern

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Monday evening start through to Saturday morning
  • Five shifts per week on a rota basis
  • Flexibility with days and start times is essential

Assessment Process
