We are currently recruiting a 7.5 tonne driver (Category C / Class 2) to work in our Logistics Distribution and supply chain team for our client based in Leigh. Newly passed drivers are welcome to apply.

Role: You will report to the Team Leader, work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, adapt to new situations daily. This is a physically and mentally demanding role that requires reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.

Pay Rate: £14.67 per hour + £1.77 holiday pay per hour = £16.44 per hour.

Shifts: 5 nights out of 6 (Saturdays off) or 4 nights a week, 8‑hour shifts. Temp to perm position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe and legal operation of a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
  • Conducting pre‑trip vehicle checks.
  • Ensuring loads are secure.
  • Adhering to drivers’ hours and road regulations.
  • Delivering goods to specified locations on time.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2).
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can‑do attitude.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience desirable, but not essential.
