The Class 1 Personnel team is expanding! Our brand-new Reading branch is seeking General and Catering Assistants looking for freelance work to join our network. Opportunities span across a wide range of industries, kitchens and events in the Greater Reading area.
What We're Looking For
We welcome assistants who are:
- Able to work within a team and independently
- Able to work confidently in fast-paced or unfamiliar kitchens
- Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
- Strong communicators who work well under pressure
- Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene procedures
- Flexible with shifts (daytime, evenings, weekends)
- We also require food hygiene certification.
- A child barring Enhanced DBS would be preferable but not essential
Roles, Skills & Responsibilities
Depending on your level and placement, you may include but not be limited to:
- Assist Kitchen with food preparation.
- Service to the highest standard.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment both front and back of house
- Working Front of House as needed, interacting with customers
- Step into short-notice temporary shifts with confidence
- Serving and clearing tables
