Drivers Mate Location: Slough Industry: Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Hours: Early starts from 05:00hrs Job Type: Full-time Job Opportunity - Drivers Mate We are currently recruiting for a Drivers Mate to join our team in Slough, working within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector. As a Drivers Mate, you will work alongside a Driver to assist with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods during deliveries. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, physically fit and comfortable working early mornings. Key Responsibilities Working alongside the Driver throughout the delivery schedule. Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods at the depot and customer locations. Helping to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time. Communicating effectively with the Driver and customers during deliveries. Assisting with positioning and handling goods safely. Maintaining a professional and helpful approach when dealing with customers. Working to company health and safety procedures. About You The successful Drivers Mate will: Be comfortable with early starts from 05:00hrs. Be physically fit, as the role involves regular lifting, carrying and unloading. Have good communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with both the Driver and customers. Be reliable, punctual and hardworking. Work well as part of a two-person delivery team. Have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Ideally have previous experience within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain although this is not essential.
