Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting General Assistants for some of the most prestigious catering companies based at Gatwick Airport. This role mainly consists of general food packing duties in the safest way following all Health and Safety guidelines.
Shift Times: Early (4:30 AM - 1:00 PM) and Late (12:30 PM - 10:30 PM) - flexibility for both is essential.
The Candidate: To be considered for the General Assistant role you'll need to be able to demonstrate good attention to detail skills. The ideal person for this position would need the following:
- Previous experience in a similar role is a must
- Very smart appearance
- Be able to provide your last 5 years history
- Be prepared to undergo a UK criminal check
- Hard working
- Keen and have a "can do attitude"
- Reliable
- UK right to work
- Proof of National Insurance
- Be able to get to Gatwick Airport for 04:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide top level cooking service to all customers within the lounge
- Work closely with fellow assistant staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards in the kitchen
- Support stock control and maintain cleanliness and organisation
- Follow direction from senior staff and contribute to the overall success of the factory
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food packing role or similar position
- Excellent customer facing skills and teamwork skills
- Flexibility with shift patterns
- Ability to present for an in-person interview
- Very smart dress code would be required for this position.
