Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting CARGO drivers for a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain client based near Feltham, TW6 3RT. In the job, you will be responsible for driving, AIRSIDE, an 18t Truck to and from the aircraft collecting loads and offloading cargo, mail, and courier.
To collect and deliver cargo to and from airside warehouse and mail sheds, you will only drive airside. You will be trained for free to drive an LGV vehicle - 18T truck.
The Candidate: To be considered for the CARGO driver role, you will need to demonstrate good attention to detail skills. The ideal person for the CARGO Driver position would need the following:
- Full manual driving licence - must have either: VAN DRIVER/3.5t, min 1 year, NO HGV qualification required
- Previous experience of airfreight work - desired but not essential
- A good level of fitness - essential
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Good communication both written and verbal are essential
- Be able to provide your last 5 years history - ideally only 1-5 jobs since 2021
- HMRC LETTER or PDF via app required
- Clean DBS - No criminal record
- Ideally CLEAN driving licence, up to 6 points
- Be prepared to undergo a UK criminal check
- UK right to work
- Proof of National Insurance
