Class1 Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a large international ground handling company to recruit several Warehouse Operatives based at Stansted Airport. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to add multiple new team members to this busy operation.
The Role of the Warehouse Operative
You will be working in a busy, flexible warehouse environment supporting airport cargo operations.
Key Duties:
- Receipt and dispatch of cargo
- Pallet building and cargo preparation
- Checking in and processing goods
- Maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have previous experience working in a busy, modern warehouse
- Be able to contribute well within a team with a flexible and self-motivated approach
- Be able to provide a 5-year checkable work history with full employer details (required for aviation security clearance)
- Be willing to work a 24/7 shift operation, including days and nights
All successful candidates will receive full Forklift Truck training and certification.
Essential Requirement
You must hold a valid full UK manual driving licence to be considered for this role. Applications without the required licence will not be accepted.
Working Hours
4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern: 4 day shifts followed by 4 night shifts, with 4 days off in between.
12-hour shifts:
- Days: 6am - 6pm
- Nights: 6pm - 6am
The warehouse operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Pay Rates
Day shifts: Β£***** per hour
Night shifts: Β£***** per hour
Security Vetting
Due to airport security requirements: All applicants must pass aviation security vetting. A Basic DBS check is required if successful. A full 5-year employment history with references must be provided.
