Class 1 Personnel are currently recruiting warehouse operatives to join our team in Aylesford, ME20 7WT. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry. The warehouse operative will be responsible for the accurate processing and movement of shipments, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
Requirements:
- Willingness to complete Dangerous Goods (Cat 6) training.
- Be able to provide your last 5 years history.
- Computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Physically fit and able to lift parcels up to 40kgs.
- Previous experience in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shipment Processing: Handle inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate scanning, sorting, and preparation for delivery.
- Logistics & Movement: Load, off-load, and transfer shipments within the warehouse and yard, making sure nothing is left behind.
- Warehouse Setup: Support the setup of inbound and outbound operations, including export truck departure activities.
- Dangerous Goods Handling: Complete checks in line with regulations (training and certification provided).
- Equipment & Safety: Maintain operational equipment and report any faults immediately.
- Compliance & Security: Follow company policies, customs requirements, and local laws; report any unusual incidents or security breaches.
- Process Area Maintenance: Keep operational areas clean, safe, and ready for the next cycle.
Pay & Shifts:
- Standard Rate: £13.02 per hour
- Typical Shift (Ops Agent): Monday to Friday, 16:00 to 20:00
