Healthy Child Programme Assistant β 21 hours β Permanent
Provide support and assistance to the health care professional team, including Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses and other clinicians, within clinic or community settings. The role involves clerical duties, caseload administration, telephone and email service, signposting to relevant services and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior HCPAs and clinicians with delegated duties.
- Signpost service users to appropriate services.
- Answer telephone calls, emails and use PAS.
- Book and rearrange appointments.
- Monitor and order office supplies, PPE, health promotion material and IT equipment.
- Work at various community clinic settings.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
- Good functional literacy and numeracy.
Desirable Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (passes at grades A-C).
Essential Experience
- Understanding of confidentiality issues.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of child developmentli>
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- General office and clerical experience.
- Working as part of a team.
- Working with customers/clients/public.
- Proven keyboard skills for word processing, use of electronic communication and databases.
- Familiar with standard office software such as word, excel.
- Ability to organise own workload, prioritise and work to deadlines.
- Ability to travel to various locations around Tameside and Glossop.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
- Experience of working with children and young people.
- Experience of specialist health management software e.g. EMIS.
