Healthcare Assistant – Care of the Elderly Wards – Ward 41
Band 2 – Permanent contract – various hours available. Passionate about making a difference? Join Tameside Hospital’s Care of the Elderly wards to support vulnerable older adults, including dementia patients.
What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate, hands‑on personal care to elderly patients, including emotional support for those living with dementia.
- Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and mobility.
- Engage patients in meaningful conversation and activities to promote wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, personal care to patients and families within ward setting.
- Work under the direction of Registered Healthcare Professionals and senior colleagues independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.
- Prioritise workloads appropriately and contribute to service improvements.
- Act with respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity and confidentiality.
Visa Sponsorship
Not eligible for UK Health and Care Worker visa route due to salary threshold of £25,000 per annum and required skill level. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
