Are you ambitious and seeking a new and exciting leadership opportunity in pharmacy? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced clinical pharmacist with strong leadership skills, to lead our clinical pharmacy team. As a member of the pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for oversight and improvement of our clinical pharmacy service. With a new Chief Pharmacist, an ambitious 2 year departmental strategy, the implementation of a new EPR and a brand new replacement pharmacy robot being commissioned in Spring 2026, we are in a prime position to support you to become an outstanding pharmacy leader.
You will have a clear vision for pharmacist prescribing, relevant knowledge and experience, and experience working as a clinical pharmacist in an acute Trust. Participation in the extended hours, weekend, Bank Holiday and on-call service will be required.

Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager — Band 8b (Band 8b – Subject to job matching). 37.5 hours, Permanent.
Main duties of the job
- As a key member of the Pharmacy Management Group the post holder is responsible for managing and leading the team delivering Clinical Pharmacy Services.
- Work closely with senior pharmacy colleagues to promote a collaborative culture, embed effective leadership, input strategic planning, and support the Trust\’s governance framework and system transformation agenda.

Person Specification
Essential – Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy
- Pharmacist Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Postgraduate clinical pharmacy diploma or Masters degree
Desirable – Qualifications
- Independent Non-medical Prescribing Qualification
- Commitment to working towards non-medical Prescribing Qualification

Essential – Experience
- Significant post-registration experience as a practising pharmacist in a hospital environment with a proven track record of management
- Financial management and management of drug expenditure
- Experience of successful operational staff deployment, prioritisation, managing rotas, and adapting working patterns to align with service need
- Experience of leading, managing and empowering staff to deliver change and to be resilient to service pressures / conflict
- Project management experience (delivered on time within budget)
- Improving staff experience and engagement
- Experience of objective setting, staff appraisal and performance management
- Experience of error monitoring and responding to complaints
- Producing written reports, letters, meeting notes and action plans
Essential – Knowledge
- Sound understanding of national policy and translate to the local level
- High level knowledge of therapeutics, medicines management and pharmacy practice

- Management of performance, sickness and implementation of HR policies
- Delivery of TEP
- IT literate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
