Job Summary
Medical Staffing Assistant – 37.5 hours – Band 3 – Permanent. An exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic individual to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Staffing Function. The role will primarily support the Medical Staffing Rota Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Manager, working in a busy office environment. NHS or Healthcare experience is desirable.
Main Duties
- Maintain electronic/web based systems.
- Produce reports by extracting data from electronic/web based systems.
- Input data into electronic systems (e.g., Microsoft Office packages).
- Check and electronically file documents.
- Cross‑reference timesheet claims against individual rosters, ensuring payments reflect the working hours of the Medical and Dental team.
- Compile meeting agendas, generate minutes and maintain action logs.

Person Specification
Essential
- Good standard of education (GCSE Maths & English grades A‑C or equivalent).
- Educated to A‑Level standard (or equivalent).
- IT literate: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
Skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and unpredictable workload.
- Able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use own initiative and prioritise workload.
Desirable
- Experience working within the NHS.
