Responsibilities

  • Provide first‑class clinical service, including emergency breast surgery.
  • Lead and develop teaching for trainees and junior consultants.
  • Maintain adherence to Trust procedures, service plans, and contractual requirements.
  • Support and supervise trainees in clinical and operative skills.
  • Upskill the team in evidence‑based practice and NICE guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Full GMC registration, CCT or CESR (CP) within 6 months of interview.
  • Expert clinical knowledge of elective and emergency breast cases.
  • Training in gastrointestinal endoscopy and JAG accreditation (or equivalent).
  • Evidence of research, publications, and participation in audit projects.
  • Leadership experience in surgical teams and quality improvement.
