This position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial structures. The electrician will work on low voltage services, underground wiring, power generation systems, and preventive maintenance programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
  • Install underground wiring and cables.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Design and construct low voltage (30–750V) multiphase services for single or multimeter installations.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to ensure circuit integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
  • Install power generation, standby power generation, and power conditioning systems.
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures, including swimming pools and hot tubs.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.

Location: Surrey, BC V3W 3E9.

Schedule: Early morning, morning, day shifts. Work on site only.

Salary: $36.60 per hour (32–40 hours per week).

Employment terms: Permanent, full-time. Starts as soon as possible.
