We are working with a small, highly regarded independent school in Balham to recruit a talented and committed Year 5 Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a one-year position, with the option of a permanent contract for the right candidate. This is a unique opportunity to teach a very small class of just 7 pupils, including one child with an EHCP supported by a dedicated 1:1. The school has a strong academic focus, and parents hold high expectations for pupil progress and attainment.

The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2

School Details
- Independent school with small class sizes (Year 5 currently 7 pupils)
- Located on Balham High Road
- Working hours: 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:30am-5:30pm (no expectation to work outside these hours)
- Generous PPA time provided across the week through specialist teaching support
- 12 weeks holiday (aligned with state school terms)
- Outer London Main Scale salary (not suitable for UPS teachers)
