Role: Year 3 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Location:
Camden, London
Contract: Part-time, Mornings Only (Term-time only)
Start Date: September 2025
End Date: July 2026
Hours: 08:45 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Rate: Β£13.85 per hour (PAYE)
Weekly Earnings: Β£207.75 (based on 5 morning sessions)
Working Hours: 3 hours paid + 15 minutes unpaid break per session

About the Role – Year 3 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil in our friendly primary school in Camden. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in special educational needs support while making a real difference to a child\’s educational journey.

Working exclusively during morning sessions, you\’ll provide tailored one-to-one support to help your assigned pupil access the curriculum and develop their learning skills in a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with special educational needs
  • Assist with curriculum access and learning activities under teacher guidance
  • Support the pupil\’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Help implement individualized learning strategies and interventions
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and achievements
  • Foster independence and confidence in learning
  • Support behavioural management strategies as needed
  • Availability Monday-Friday mornings during term time is non-negotiable
  • Genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS clearance (essential)
