Are you a specialist in Exam Access Arrangements with a passion for inclusive education and supporting learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)? An established Further Education provider in West London is seeking a Specialist Lecturer / Assessor to lead on the coordination, assessment and implementation of Exam Access Arrangements, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.

The Role

This is a key position within the Learning Support team, combining specialist assessment responsibilities with a small teaching commitment (up to 6 hours per week). You will:

  • Act as the Exam Access Arrangements Specialist across the organisation
  • Screen, assess and coordinate access arrangements for learners with SpLD
  • Liaise with teaching staff, exams teams, parents, schools and external professionals
  • Produce high-quality assessment reports and maintain accurate records
  • Support DSA applications and referrals to Educational Psychologists
  • Promote inclusive practice and equality of opportunity across the curriculum
  • Contribute to staff training and awareness of learning differences
  • Teach and support students with Specific Learning Difficulties

The Ideal Candidate

You will be a committed professional with strong organisational skills and a learner-centred approach. Essential requirements include:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Specialist qualification in Dyslexia / SpLD assessment (or willingness to obtain)
  • Recognised Level 5 FE teaching qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching and assessing learners with SpLD
  • Strong knowledge of exam access arrangements and disability legislation
  • Excellent communication, IT and report-writing skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusive learning
