Our Creative Arts section provides our learners with the skills and knowledge with which to progress onto a relevant degree at HE level or directly into a rewarding career within the creative industries. We work closely with UAL, our awarding body, to ensure our courses are both subject and industry relevant.

We are seeking a part time Lecturer in Art and Design to join our successful team and deliver across a range of programmes from Level 1 to Level 3. You will deliver art and design techniques and processes such as Fine Art, 3D design, Printmaking, Ceramics and Graphics. You will also assist in developing industry links for live briefs and student work experience.

You will need to possess a degree in Art or related subject, with excellent subject knowledge and teaching experience in Art and Design up to Level 3. You will ideally have current or recent experience as a practitioner in Art and Design and will have the ability to engage and inspire learners. If you do not currently possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the Further Education sector, you will be supported to obtain this by the College.

It is expected that the working days for this post will be Mondays and Tuesdays or Wednesdays and Thursdays, to be agreed.

Design and Delivery of Programmes
  • Teaching on UAL Art and Design programmes at levels 1, 2 and 3.
  • Delivering Art & Design techniques and processes such as Fine Art, 3D design, Printmaking, Ceramics and Graphics.
  • Work both on-site and off-site with students during practical exercises.
  • Forge links with industry for visiting speakers and work experience.
  • Contributing to production of promotional material (videos, newsletters, etc.).
  • Assist in the co-ordination of the above programmes.
