A secondary school in Southwark is seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher and passionate leader to join its English Department as Second in Charge. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Faculty to drive further improvement in the English Department, ensuring high-quality teaching and effective student intervention programmes to support student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Faculty in leading the English Department
- Be accountable for the standards attained by all students within your lessons and across the department
- Plan and implement strategies/interventions that deliver rapid student progress
- Contribute to the delivery of effective teaching and learning to maximise individual progress
