An ambitious and inclusive 2FE primary school in Islington is seeking a skilled and committed Primary Class Teacher to join the team from September 2026. About the role - Primary Class Teacher
As a Primary Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring that all pupils are engaged, challenged and supported to succeed. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum, adapting your approach to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and those with English as an additional language.
You will use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress, provide meaningful feedback and inform future planning. Creating a positive, purposeful and safe learning environment will be central to your role, alongside promoting high standards of behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
There is an opportunity for an additional Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) in Science for candidates with relevant experience or interest in subject leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-sequenced lessons that build on prior learning
- Adapting teaching to meet the needs of pupils of all abilities
- Using assessment effectively to track progress and raise attainment
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have successful experience teaching in a primary setting (non-ECT)
