The Sports team offers a range of Sport programmes including BTEC from Level 1 to Level 3. We are seeking to appoint a part time Lecturer in Sport on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave until December 2026.
You will need to possess a degree in Sport or a related subject area. You will have experience of teaching vocational Sport including BTEC and should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young vocational learners aged 16-19. A teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector is desirable.
This post is 4 days per week. Working days are to include Monday, Thursday and Friday, with the additional day of either Tuesday or Wednesday to be agreed with the successful candidate. Please note, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
Main Purpose: The main purpose of the job is to ensure the retention and achievement of students through the delivery of good practice in teaching and learning. To teach, develop and improve programmes of study in Sport. Subjects delivered include Anatomy and Physiology, Sociology of Sport, Sports Psychology and Business in Sport and provision also includes nationally recognised fitness instructor awards and coaching qualifications.
