We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking primary school in Stevenage, part of a supportive and well-established academy trust, to recruit an ambitious and driven Assistant Principal for a September start. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced teacher ready to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher and senior leadership team in the strategic development of the school
  • Lead on key areas of school improvement, including teaching and learning, curriculum development, or behaviour
  • Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement across the school
  • Support and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and ambitious school culture

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven track record of excellent teaching and impact on pupil outcomes
  • Experience of middle or senior leadership within a school setting
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies
