Are you a compassionate, proactive, and patient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child’s school experience? A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Harrow is seeking an experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. This role will see you working closely with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties)
- Support the class teacher in delivering personalised learning strategies
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons and activities
- Monitor and record progress, liaising with the SENCo and parents as required
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
The Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (in school or similar settings)
- Patient, empathetic, and positive approach to behaviour management
- Able to build trusting relationships and adapt to pupil needs
- Available full-time and able to commit to the rest of the academic year
