Are you an inspiring English Lecturer ready to make an immediate impact in a thriving college environment? Our client, a well-respected Further Education College in Harrow, is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable English Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis.

The Role:

In this role, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in English across a range of courses and levels. Working 0.8 (four days equivalent) over five days per week, you will contribute to students’ academic progress and help them develop essential literacy and communication skills. The position is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in English.
  • Support students through their learning journey, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and achievement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • A relevant degree in English or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching English within a Further Education or Secondary setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.
  • Availability to start immediately.
