FE Lecturer in Business – Full Time or Part Time – Uxbridge, London – Permanent Contract

The college are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to join their team. You would teach across a range of courses in Business, focusing on BTEC programmes Level 1 to Level 3 including BTEC First, National and Higher National Diplomas, Access to HE and T Levels.

You will need to possess a degree in Business or a related area and will

  • Have successful experience of delivering BTEC programmes Level 1 – 3

  • The ability to engage and motivate learners of all ages

  • Be a team player with excellent communication and IT skills, * A degree in Business, Management or related subject area

  • Minimum level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. DET, PGCE)** or willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification, supported by the College

  • Assessor award (A1 or equivalent)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience of teaching BTEC Business Level 1, 2 or 3

  • Evidence of delivering high rates of student attendance, retention and achievement, including details of the methods you have used to achieve this

  • The ability to engage and inspire vocational Business learners aged 16-18

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Business and evidence of continuing professional development

  • Previous experience of working in Business

  • Knowledge and experience of T level qualifications

  • Ability to take on course leadership responsibilities

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal

  • Good planning and organisational skills

  • Good classroom practice

  • Good IT skills

  • Ability to use IT within the curriculum including ability to deliver effective teaching online

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Understanding of the importance of Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding in an education environment

  • Self-motivation

  • Commitment to learners and learner achievement.
