We are seeking an experienced secondary teaching assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting secondary-aged students, either 1:1 or in small groups, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The Role
As an experienced secondary teaching assistant, you will support students in their learning, providing targeted intervention and in-class support to ensure all learners can access the curriculum. You will work closely with teachers to implement lesson plans and help maintain a positive learning environment. This role offers full-time, long-term employment with immediate start and the opportunity to trial mornings to ensure the position is right for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 support for students with SEN and learning difficulties
- Supporting small groups in lessons and targeted interventions
- Assisting teachers with classroom management and preparation
- Helping students develop independence and confidence in their learning
- Monitoring and recording student progress
- Contributing to the creation of inclusive learning materials
Person Specification
- Prior experience working with secondary-aged students or within a secondary school
