About the role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Science Teacher to join our established and successful science department at a secondary school in the London Borough of Newham. This is a full-time, permanent post available for an ASAP start. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong classroom practice, secure subject knowledge, and the ability to drive progress and attainment across key stages. You will be expected to contribute confidently to curriculum planning, assessment, and departmental development, while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and learning.

About you

We are looking for a Science Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has successfully completed ECT/NQT induction, or is completing teacher training this year and seeking an ECT post from September 2026
  • Has a proven ability to deliver consistently strong outcomes
  • Is reflective, resilient, and keen to contribute beyond the classroom
  • Can support colleagues and share best practice within the department

While this role would suit a more experienced practitioner, strong ECTs with excellent training placements and clear potential are encouraged to apply.
