Computing Lecturer – Hayes - Permanent Contract
£32,455 - £45,260 per annum – Teacher Training Provided
36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

At Clarus Education, we are working with an FE College who are seeking to appoint a Computing Lecturer based in Hayes. The College’s Computing and IT School provides our learners with the knowledge and skills required by the computing industry. They provide an excellent foundation for their learners to progress to the next level including careers in the IT, apprenticeships and Higher Education.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Lecturer to be based in their Hayes Campus, to deliver across a range of Computing courses from Level 1 to Level 5.
You will possess a degree in a Computing subject and will have some teaching experience, including experience of delivering BTEC programmes Level 3 – 5, with the ability to engage 16-18 year old students.
You will have knowledge and experience of two of the following:
- Cyber Security and Incident Management
- Cloud Storage and Collaboration Tools
- Networking and IT Service Delivery
You will also have knowledge and experience of at least two of the following:
- Database modelling
- Database implementation (e.g. MS Access)
- Project Management
If you do not already possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, the College will support you to achieve this.
Person Specification:
Qualifications
- Degree in Computing or related subject area
- Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g. PGCE, DET) or willingness and ability to obtain a Level 5 teaching qualification, supported by the College
Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge and experience of 2 of the following: Cyber Security and Incident Management, Cloud Storage and Collaboration Tools, Networking and IT Service Delivery
- Knowledge and experience of at least 2 of the below:
- Database modelling
- Database implementation (e.g. MS Access)
- Project Management
