A Chef for Professional Cookery Lecturer is required for a permanent contract in Hayes, London. The salary ranges from £32,455 to £45,260 per annum, with teacher training provided. This is a full-time position, 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
The role involves teaching across various Hospitality programmes, including VRQs/NVQs in Professional Cookery from Level 1 to Level 3, and Apprenticeship Standards – Level 2 Production Chef, Level 2 Commis Chef, and Level 3 Chef De Partie. The section includes a restaurant (Revisco) open to the public.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Catering/Hospitality
- Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (DET or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it, supported by the College
- Assessor and Verifier awards or willingness to achieve
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in the Catering/Hospitality industry, including as a Chef
- Up-to-date knowledge of developments and trends within the Catering and Hospitality sector
- Teaching and assessing experience in Catering and Hospitality
Other Skills:
- The ability to enthuse and inspire students
- Good classroom practice
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
