We are looking for an experienced Electrical Tutor and Assessor to join our vibrant and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified electricians who want to transition from the tools into the education sector or for existing electrical trainers looking for a change. Full training and support will be provided for those without formal teaching or assessor qualifications.

About the Role

As an Electrical Tutor and Assessor, you will deliver vocational training and assessments to a varied group of students, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the electrical industry. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess learners’ progress, and support them to achieve industry-recognised qualifications. This position is full-time and ideal for those with strong industry experience who are ready to make a rewarding move into education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theoretical electrical training sessions
  • Assess learners’ work and progress against qualification requirements
  • Prepare lesson plans, resources, and assessments
  • Monitor learner development and provide feedback

Essential Skills

  • Fully qualified domestic Level 3 Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good level of English, Maths & ICT
  • Able to manage time effectively and work as part of a small team
  • Willingness to attend staff training courses

Desirable Skills

  • Qualified Assessor (training provided if required)
  • Qualified Teacher (training provided if required)
  • 18th Edition and Inspect & Test qualifications
