ROLE SUMMARY:
Our Primary school caters for ages from 5-11 years old (IAPS) for boys aged 2.5 – 13. At our Bexley school, we pride ourselves in having very high standards of ourselves and our pupils, and believe that stretch and challenge are essential ingredients to real academic success. We are looking for a dedicated LKS2 Class Teacher (Year 3 or 4) to deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and support every student, helping them reach their full potential. As our new LKS2 Class Teacher, you'll play a key role in planning and delivering dynamic lessons, maintaining strong classroom discipline, and providing tailored support for pupils with diverse learning needs. Beyond the classroom, you'll engage in performance management, assessments, and school events, making a meaningful impact on our vibrant school community.
This is a permanent role for an April 2025 start. ECTS and UPS teachers are encouraged to apply!
LKS2 Class Teacher - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and best use is made of teaching time.
- Plan lessons and sequences of lessons to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.
- Secure a high standard of pupil behaviour in the classroom, through establishing appropriate rules and high expectations.
- Participate in the school’s Performance Management program.
- Identify pupils who have special educational needs, and know where to get help in order to give positive and targeted support.
- Design and adapt long, medium and short term plans for all schemes of work taught.
- Mark and monitor pupils’ class and homework providing constructive oral and written feedback.
- Set clear targets for improvement of pupils’ achievement and monitor pupils’ progress towards those targets.
- Supervision of pupils during playtime, lunchtime and for at least one school club.
