Our Bexley SEN School is seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher to join our committed and highly skilled team from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist day school that provides high-quality education and care for children and young people aged 8–19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and autism. We support pupils with a wide range of additional needs, including ADHD, Down’s Syndrome and speech, language and communication difficulties. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans, and referrals are made by local authorities across London, Kent and the wider South East. Our school is proud of its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support and focus on helping pupils achieve independence, confidence and success.
As an experienced SEN Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals to implement EHCP targets and provide consistent, structured support. Building positive relationships and maintaining a calm, supportive learning environment are central to the role.
We are looking for an experienced SEN Teacher who:
- Has a strong background in teaching pupils with complex learning needs and autism
- Demonstrates excellent adaptive teaching and behaviour support strategies
- Is confident working with EHCPs and individualised learning plans
