We are looking for a dedicated Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Bexley, supporting children from EYFS to KS2 within our Additional Resource Provision.
The Role:
You will support children with SEMH or behavioural needs, helping them to access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop positive behaviour. Key responsibilities include:
- Using de-escalation techniques and a calm, firm but fair approach
- Delivering emotional regulation strategies and movement/sensory breaks
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting social development
- Working closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistency
Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
