We are looking for a dedicated Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our primary school in Bexley, supporting children from EYFS to KS2 within our Additional Resource Provision.

The Role:

You will support children with SEMH or behavioural needs, helping them to access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop positive behaviour. Key responsibilities include:

  • Using de-escalation techniques and a calm, firm but fair approach
  • Delivering emotional regulation strategies and movement/sensory breaks
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting social development
  • Working closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure consistency

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs

  • Ability to support emotional regulation and sensory/movement breaks
