Clarkston Medical is excited to launch a new pharmacist role across our two GP practices, serving over 15,500 patients in East Renfrewshire. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated pharmacist to join our friendly, forward-thinking team.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support — Review blood results for your own patients and support nurses’ blood monitoring.
  • Conduct review appointments in CDM.
  • Support patients presenting with minor conditions, providing clinical assessment and prescribing where appropriate.
  • Monitor NPT patients in line with practice protocols.
  • Oversee DMARDs management and monitoring.
  • Medication Management — Provide advice on medications to patients and staff, reducing GP workload.
  • Act as the first point of contact for medication-related queries.
  • Prepare prescribing reports, audits, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Administrative Support & Training — Check and action discharge letters and other documents.
  • Train administrative staff on medication safety and best practices.
  • Professional Responsibilities — Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with local and national prescribing guidelines.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support integrated care initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A qualified prescriber with clinical experience in primary care/community pharmacy.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to develop this new role.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
