Clarkston Medical is excited to launch a new pharmacist role across our two GP practices, serving over 15,500 patients in East Renfrewshire. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated pharmacist to join our friendly, forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Support — Review blood results for your own patients and support nurses’ blood monitoring.
- Conduct review appointments in CDM.
- Support patients presenting with minor conditions, providing clinical assessment and prescribing where appropriate.
- Monitor NPT patients in line with practice protocols.
- Oversee DMARDs management and monitoring.
- Medication Management — Provide advice on medications to patients and staff, reducing GP workload.
- Act as the first point of contact for medication-related queries.
- Prepare prescribing reports, audits, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Administrative Support & Training — Check and action discharge letters and other documents.
- Train administrative staff on medication safety and best practices.
- Professional Responsibilities — Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with local and national prescribing guidelines.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and support integrated care initiatives.
Qualifications
- A qualified prescriber with clinical experience in primary care/community pharmacy.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to develop this new role.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
