We are seeking analytically-minded recent graduates to join our teams providing data and intelligence on the global shipping industry. We currently have a range of opportunities across analytical and business development roles, offering the ability to develop deep expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced industry that sits at the heart of the world economy.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shipping & Energy Intelligence Analyst:
    • Monitoring developments in commodities markets and global trade
    • Tracking macroeconomic, geopolitical and decarbonisation trends shaping shipping markets
    • Analysing data from a wide range of sources to generate insights
    • Producing forecasts that inform Clarksons Research’s view on global shipping
    • Creating regular intelligence reports and topical analysis
    • Collaborating closely with analysts across our global network and supporting clients
  • Valuations Analyst:
    • Analysing market data, trends and intelligence across the various shipping markets
    • Managing all aspects of the vessel valuation process from client enquiry to execution
    • Establishing and building client relationships
    • Liaising closely with analysts and brokers across our global network
  • Business Development & Account Management:
    • Addressing leads and supporting sales operations
    • Demonstrating our digital product range to prospective clients and gathering feedback
    • Progressing to take ownership of a sales region
    • Supporting business development and account management teams with bespoke client requests, renewals, and ad hoc business development initiatives

You’ll need to have:

  • A degree in an analytical subject (we’re open-minded)
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills including basic data handling
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong motivation and a proactive approach

  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn (no prior shipping experience needed)
