We are seeking analytically-minded recent graduates to join our data analyst team in supporting the development of the company’s market-leading time-series database providing intelligence on seaborne trade, shipping markets and shipping industry trends. The role provides the opportunity to become an expert within a dynamic and fast-paced industry central to the global economy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting expansion of our market-leading time-series database
- Improving the quality and market relevance of our time-series data
- Deriving new leading edge data using data analytics techniques
- Organising and manipulating complex databases and workflows
- Integrating data with digital data delivery products
- Working closely with other analysts (including across our global network) and supporting clients
You’ll need to have:
- A good degree with a strong numeric and analytical element (we’re open-minded on subject)
- Strong quantitative analysis skills
- Some experience with data handling tools and/or time-series data sets
- The ability to adapt to new programming languages (experience with SQL is helpful)
- The ability to communicate insights clearly visually and verbally
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong motivation and a proactive approach to analysis
