Role Summary
We’re looking for a proactive QHSE Advisor to support our operations across the CPS Group. This role will work alongside operational teams to improve safety, quality and environmental performance — not just from a compliance perspective, but by building understanding, ownership and practical application on site. This is a hands‑on, operational role with regular site engagement across multiple locations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting operational teams to identify hazards and manage risk in day‑to‑day activities.
- Coaching managers and supervisors to improve safe systems of work and behaviours on site.
- Assisting with incident investigations and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Supporting internal audits and external certification processes across multiple locations.
- Helping maintain and improve QHSE systems, procedures and reporting.
- Delivering practical training, toolbox talks and awareness sessions to operational teams.
- Supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Fulfil additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a QHSE or HSE role.
- Experience working in operational, industrial or logistics environments.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) preferred.
- Working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
- Awareness of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
- Internal Auditor training (or willingness to work towards).
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IOSH) desirable.
Skills:
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and coach.
- Practical, hands‑on approach to problem solving.
- Confident working with operational teams.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
