Division Overview
Offering exceptional port agency and logistics services, we provide turnkey solutions for clients in the marine and energy sectors. Established ships agents with a reputation for excellence, our specialist team provide round the clock vessel agency and services to the Offshore energy and dry bulk sectors.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Month End reporting.
- Daily fixture book to MD.
- Reconciling 3rd party accounts.
- Check Shipbroker recaps (contract) to ensure accurate fixture creation in GAIN.
- Check owners/charters invoices for accuracy prior to creating invoices in GAIN.
- Review freight payments and associated paperwork.
- Cover treasury and credit control role.
- Cover multicurrency cashbook maintenance/bank reconciliations.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of accounting principles (i.e. double entry bookkeeping/prepayments/accruals would be an advantage but not essential).
- Knowledge of Workday Financials or equivalent financial reporting software would be an advantage.
- A high degree of numeracy is essential.
- Organised and able to prioritise own workload in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-confident with good communication skills (both written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of working in a team environment within a large organisation.
- Commercially aware with interest in the wider economy and world affairs.
- Desire to learn, develop and contribute to the wider team goals.
- Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Good IT skills in MS office packages (at least intermediate level in use of excel) is essential.
