SHEQ Advisor required for large contractor in the North of Scotland, based in Inverness. Client is looking for a candidate start asap, but acknowledges notice periods could play a factor. The ideal candidate must be very enthusiastic towards the Health and Safety sector, and wish to progress ultimately into a management position. The correct candidate is more important that the background. The candidate requires: – A full clean driving license – To be able to travel outside of the core Inverness operating area to Perthshire, Fife, Dundee, and Aberdeen regions with occasional overnight stays where required. – Experience in the civils and construction industry – Qualifications in NEBOSH Certificate as minimum – Experience in ISO 9001/14001/45001(Preferably) and other industry verification schemes – To have very good communication skills with both site workers and Management and an ability to coach good safety behaviours – A core competence in H&S Law within the Civils and Construction Industry including Construction (Design & Management) Regulations – To be familiar with the development and implementation of HSEQ procedures, Risk – – Assessments and related communications. – An understanding of incident and accident investigation preferably with root cause analysis experience.
