We are working with an esteemed client who is looking for a Site Agent to come on board for a project in the North of Scotland. The client has projects all over Scotland, so location is not an issue, but the candidate must be willing to work away from home. Projects are solely within the energy sector, so experience and/or tickets in this field is very beneficial. Candidates also need to have civil engineering experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Drive the commercial performance of the contract.
- Responsible for successful project delivery, ensuring timelines, quality & safety standards are met.
- Deliver works safely, preventing Environmental incidents.
- Maintain specified quality standards without defects.
- Produce and implement project plans, RAMS, ITPs, and waste management plans.
- Create and manage project programmes.
- Responsible for procurement schedules and collaboration with the procurement team to secure resources efficiently.
- Management and development of the engineering team.
- Represent the business to clients, stakeholders and the public.
- Ensure final deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to populate, manage and optimise project cost plans.
- Maximise project value.
- Maintain accurate and detailed site records and diaries.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and challenge existing processes for continuous improvement.
- Produce clear, accurate monthly reports for both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Chair weekly site meetings.
Enablers to the role
- Experience of working in the civils industry, particularly infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management and cost control.
- Excellent communication, people and team management skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of IT systems, specifically Microsoft Office suite.
- SMSTS 5 Day Site Safety certified, preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and positively influence outcomes.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to work weekends, shift work and work away from home.
Essentials for the role
- Valid CSCS Manager card.
- Full driving licence.
- Full First Aid certified.
- Qualified to degree level in civil engineering or HNC / HND.
- CAT and Genny trained.

Salary is open to negotiation; however, a very strong benefits package is provided.
