We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Site Manager to oversee a large-scale External Wall Insulation (EWI) and retrofit programme across Argyll & Bute. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing regeneration and energy-efficiency programme delivering works across occupied residential properties, with multiple live sites operating simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating EWI and associated retrofit works across a range of locations including:

  • Oban
  • Mull
  • Rothesay
  • Campbeltown
  • Dunoon

The role is primarily project-based rather than permanently site-based, although regular site visits will be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and updating project programmes and site schedules
  • Coordination and management of subcontractors including:
    • Establishing and maintaining site compounds
    • Carrying out quality control inspections and H&S site visits
    • Monitoring progress across multiple live sites simultaneously
    • Liaising closely with residents/householders to ensure smooth delivery of works
    • Providing regular progress updates and reporting to Head Office
    • Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to programme
    • Heat pump installations
    • Re-roofing projects
    • Rendering systems
    • Internal Wall Insulation (IWI)
    • Retrofit and decarbonisation programmes

Ideal Candidate

  • Be highly organised and proactive
  • Have strong communication and people-management skills
  • Be comfortable working across multiple sites and locations
  • Be confident dealing directly with residents and stakeholders
  • Have a strong understanding of quality assurance and compliance
  • Hold relevant SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS accreditation (preferred)
