We're working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary consultancy in Glasgow that is looking to add a Graduate Building Surveyor to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of projects while working alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors who will support your professional development towards APC and MRICS qualification.
The Role
As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you'll work on a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, education and public sector projects, gaining exposure to both professional and project-based building surveying services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with condition surveys and building inspections.
- Supporting the delivery of project work, including refurbishments and maintenance schemes.
- Preparing schedules of condition, specifications and technical reports.
- Assisting with contract administration and project delivery.
- Helping to produce dilapidations, defect analysis and planned maintenance reports.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other members of the design team.
- Developing your technical knowledge while working towards chartership.
About You
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited preferred).
- Keen to work towards APC and MRICS status.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
