We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the safe and efficient delivery of 132kV cabling installation projects across multiple locations in Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors and project teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and in accordance with quality standards. Sites located in Fort Augustus, Perth and Dundee. This is a full-time site-based role requiring regular travel between project locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all site construction activities associated with 132kV cable installation projects.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee construction programmes and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Coordinate daily site operations, resources, plant, and materials.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and progress reviews.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and client representatives to ensure effective project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks and resolve site-related issues.
  • Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and contribute to site reports, progress updates, and planning meetings.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager on HV electrical infrastructure or utility projects.
  • Strong background in 132kV cable installation and transmission projects.
  • Experience managing construction activities on complex infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Experience delivering projects within strict safety, quality, and programme requirements.
