We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of 132kV cabling installation projects across multiple locations in Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This is a site-based role requiring full-time attendance on project sites. Candidates must be willing to travel and work across various project locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the delivery of 132kV cable installation projects from planning through to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Oversee risk management, change control, and project reporting.
- Support commercial management, including variations, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained and completed in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Attend site meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering HV cable installation projects.
- Strong background in 132kV cabling and transmission infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on live construction sites.
- Demonstrable experience in project planning, programme management, and budget control.
- Knowledge of utility, energy, transmission, or power infrastructure projects.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of:
