An established specialist contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a roofing/refurbishment project in Lochgilphead.
\n
The successful candidate will manage site operations, subcontractors and trades, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and to a high standard of quality. This role would suit a hands-on Site Manager with experience in roofing, external refurbishment or related construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n
Take day-to-day responsibility for the safe and efficient running of the site.
\n
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, specialist trades and suppliers.
\n
Monitor works against the agreed construction programme and maintain project progress.
\n
Ensure roofing and associated refurbishment works comply with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
\n
Maintain high standards of health & safety and ensure site procedures are followed.
\n
Carry out inductions, toolbox talks and site briefings as required.
\n
Coordinate materials, deliveries, access and site logistics.
\n
Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress information.
\n
Liaise professionally with the Project/Contracts Manager, client, consultants and other stakeholders.
\n
Identify potential delays, defects or construction issues and ensure these are addressed promptly.
\n
Manage quality control, snagging, remedial works and project close-out.
\n
Ensure the site remains organised, professional and compliant throughout the project.
\n

Candidate Requirements
\n
\n
Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction.
\n
Experience in roofing, external refurbishment, building envelope or similar projects is highly advantageous.
\n
Strong ability to manage subcontractors and multiple trades.
\n
Good knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics and quality control.
\n
Strong understanding of current health & safety requirements.
\n
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
\n
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
\n
\n
SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS.
\n
First Aid certification is advantageous.
\n
Full UK driving licence.
\n
