We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Site Engineer to join our growing team working across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and construction projects throughout the Central Belt of Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a range of projects including surfacing works, roadworks, infrastructure improvements, commercial developments, industrial buildings, and associated civil engineering works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, setting out, and delivery of projects while working closely with site management, clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team. - Carry out setting out and surveying activities using modern surveying equipment and GPS technology.
- Ensure works are delivered accurately in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards throughout all stages of construction.
- Assist with planning and coordination of site activities to ensure programmes are achieved.
- Produce and maintain site records, surveys, as-built information, and quality documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, site managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identify and resolve engineering and technical issues on site.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support the commercial and operational teams with measurement and progress reporting.
- Travel between multiple project sites as required.
Previous experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering or construction:
- Proven setting out experience on civil engineering and construction projects.
- Roadworks, Surfacing projects, Commercial developments, Industrial buildings, Infrastructure and associated civil engineering works.
- Proficient in the use of surveying and setting out equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline:
- Experience using AutoCAD and surveying software.
- CSCS card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
